The Nilgiris District Open Chess Championship 2025 was held on April 19th at John Paul’s Auditorium, Gudalur, organized by Knights Chess Academy under the Nilgiris District Chess Association. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Kamlesh Kataria, NDCA President, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from across the district.
St. Antony's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Gudalur is proud to share that our student Nithisker P emerged as the Open Category Champion, while Gurusaran also performed remarkably, securing a top position. In the Women’s Category, Treeza and Oviya clinched top honors. Special prizes were awarded in the Under-7, Under-9, and Under-12 categories, and participation medals were presented to all young players, creating lasting memories.
The event was led by Chief Arbiter Mr. Junaise K K and concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony attended by several dignitaries. The championship truly showcased the spirit of talent, sportsmanship, and unity in the Nilgiris.

We are delighted to announce that our student, Adidev, has won the Abdul Majid Memorial Trophy in the singles badminton tournament held today at the Pandalur Badminton Club. Additionally, Affan and Shameem secured the runner-up positions in the doubles category. Congratulations to our talented players for their hard work and dedication, making us all proud!

We the Antonians are beaming with pride! Our students Nithisker and Gurusaran have earned International Ratings in the 1st KG Marar Memorial International Open FIDE Rated Classical Chess Tournament conducted at Calicut! Nithisker secured the 7th position and won a cash prize of Rs. 3000, while Gurusaran achieved the 12th position. FIDE ( Fédération Internationale des Échecs) is the International Chess Federation.A big congratulations to Abijith, Sajith, and Navdeep as well for their participation and dedication. We are proud of each of you for representing our school at this prestigious event!

CM Trophy Chess Competition!
Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to share the fantastic news of our students ' remarkable achievements in the CM Trophy Chess Competition! Out of 350 participants from various boards, Gurusaran of 8th grade secured 1st place in the district, winning a cash prize of Rs. 3000 and qualifying for the state-level competition.
We are also proud of Kanesker (10th grade), who secured 4th place, Nithisker (6th grade) in 5th place, Dheemant (7th grade) in 6th place, and Riya (9th grade) in the 7th place.
